Japanese street food, made to make people happy
the hearth
Irori (囲炉裏) is the traditional Japanese hearth families gather around, and the name behind our food. We're Koji and Kev, who met in Tokyo: Koji's the chef, Kev handles the rest. Koji started cooking at 13 in Yonezawa, later working in kitchens in Tokyo, New York, Paris and London - always with the same goal, his own food truck. After years of saving and planning, we settled in Brighton to make it real, bringing genuine Japanese food and drink to markets, taprooms, vineyards, and private events across Sussex.
