Our commitment
We want iroristreetfood.co.uk to be easy to use for everyone, whatever device you're on or however you access the web. We're a small, independent business, so we won't get everything perfect straight away, but accessibility matters to us and it's something we're building in from the start, not adding on afterwards.
What we're doing
Building the site on Squarespace, which includes some accessibility features as standard, such as keyboard-navigable menus and alt text fields for images
Writing clear, descriptive alt text for our photography
Checking colour contrast across our brand palette so text stays easy to read
Using clear, legible fonts at a sensible size
Structuring pages with proper headings so the site works well with screen readers
Known limitations
As the site develops, some elements may not be fully accessible right away, for example embedded third-party content like maps or booking widgets, or video without captions. We're aware this is an ongoing job, not a one-off fix, and we'll keep improving it.
Getting in touch
If you have any difficulty using our website, or need something in a different format, email hello@iroristreetfood.co.uk and we'll do what we can to help.
Feedback
We welcome feedback on how accessible our site is. If something doesn't work well for you, please let us know so we can look into it.
